John Taylor has just about seen it all in his 28-year career that began as a journalist and has included extensive experience in both the corporate and agency worlds.

He developed his writing chops at The Nashville Banner where he covered the police beat for several years. After stints in government and public relations, he eventually joined Trone, Inc., in High Point, NC. At Trone, he continued to work in the tire industry, playing an instrumental role in creating and implementing a grassroots dealer program and Hispanic marketing program for Uniroyal Tire. In 2008, John served as PR director for one of the Southeast’s largest agencies — Erwin-Penland, a Hill Holliday Agency, in Greenville, SC.
